Submissions officially closed on October 2nd and we have begun our selection process. Equipped with a cheap two-four and a
they gave us the wrong order pizza, four of us went to work in pure videodrunk style. We’ve got 200+ submissions to get through over the next couple of weeks and everything we’ve seen so far has been fresh and innovative. Lots of good stuff from around the world, but also right here in Toronto. We have also screened two films which premiered at major festivals recently. It really makes us feel all grown up to receive submissions like that!
On to a couple of minor changes we are making for Videodrunk 2016:

We are also happy to present our new logo. While we love the earthy feel of the old logo designed by our festival founder – we thought it was time for an update:
We’ll be using our new logo on all our promo materials from now on. I tried to put it up in our blog header but it looked weird – like a floating head – so we’ll have to satisfy ourselves with the font.
Also keep an eye out for our upcoming playlists on spotify via twitter and this blog! Curated by Matt R and designed to accompany our overall festival feel: a little vague, unpredictable, probably trashy, and definitely weird.
