We’ve official closed our submission period and would like to thank all the filmmakers who have sent their works in and FilmFreeway for making the process easy. We will now begin our selection process.
If you want to watch our selection process keep in mind we will be streaming this over Periscope and Twitter so keep an eye out. We’ll try to be entertaining.
Also over the next several days will be announcing some big developments.
Anyways let’s look at the submission make
The Videodrunk Film Festival is pleased to inform everyone we will be presenting a half hour long pre-show consisting of more experimental and ambient short films and video art pieces prior to our main show each night.
This program will be part of our pre-show broadcast via Periscope which will include a QnA with local filmmakers showing at the festival. We will also be broadcasting our selection meetings and other key events prior to the festival and our award announcements. We will be experimenting with the platform over the coming months so keep an eye out.
Quick shout out to our 2017 hosts Farside in Chinatown East. They do these great video shows every single week and they might just be the must attend weekly event in Toronto’s East End.
We highly suggest you check them out and grab a Sweet Grass while you’re there 🙂
If you don’t believe us read this.
Sweetgrass Brewing Co. has come on board to sponsor the 2017 Videodrunk Film Festival at Farside.
Everyone is excited to be working together.
We’re pleased to announce the 2017 Videodrunk Film Festival will be taking place at Farside (600 Gerrard Street East) this coming November and December!
Farside is bar/art space in Toronto’s Chinatown East, that has earned praised from various Toronto news outlets since its opening last year. The space continues Videodrunk’s tradition of using a venue that isn’t a traditional cinema.
The awesome site Throwdown815 did a profile on our festival. Give it a check out!
